Annakria King’s story of
Threshold Choir Los Angeles...
My sister sent me an inspiring newspaper clipping about Kate Munger's work, providing women’s voices in song at death beds. I knew at that moment it was something I must do.
In the summer of 2007 I found three women who expressed some interest and we started rehearsing. In the first six months, participants came and went. At the present time (2009) only two of us were there at the beginning.
All of our members express personal satisfaction with both our work and the sheer joy of singing together. Each member is a jewel in her own right.
If you have a loved one near death, I invite you to call on us. We can usually respond in just a few hours.
